Including herbs in a wedding celebration is both modern (fresh and eco-friendly) and old fashioned (the Romans have dibs on the idea, after all). No matter what kind of wedding you’re planning, though, herbs can enhance the celebration with meaning and beauty.

Picking the Flowers ~
Who doesn’t love a grandiose wedding? It’s easy to spend too much money everywhere for a wedding! The Bridal Party flowers are going to be in so many pictures, make them the Best of all! Then stick to very simple, even single flowers, on the reception tables. Then if you haven’t picked the date, flowers are most expensive up to 2 weeks before a major holiday & for about 3 days after it the new flower stock has not come in. So adjusting the date could save you hundreds of dollars!
Try this site for some ideas then send a pic to me so we can see what you have in mind for your wedding!

When you begin creating a wedding budget, here are some general spending ideas from debt experts:
Ceremony (location, fees, licenses) 3%
Reception (location, food, cake, decorations) 46%
Attire (dress, tuxedo) 10%
Wedding Rings 5%
Flowers (bouquets, decorations) 10%
Music (ceremony, reception) 5%
Photography (pics, video, prints) 10%
Stationary (invites, guest book, thank you notes) 4%
Transportation (shuttles, parking) 4%
Gifts (for bridesmaids & groomsmen) 3%
Total 100%
Manage your debt & expenses wisely by selecting the most important categories TO YOU.
For example, To get the flowers you really want maybe hand out disposable cameras or have a friend take the shots. If professional pics & flowers are the most important for YOU – maybe have a friend or relative make the cake or even a cupcake cake which is still trendy.
Have the florist make the really important flowers (bride, groom, wedding party, parents) then have the adult & children family members decorate the reception venue. Often we find visiting family & friends have excess time on their hands & would love a chance to help & are happy to contribute. If you are on a budget- Pick a wedding date at least 2 days AFTER a major holiday! For the 2 weeks prior to any holiday, flowers can triple in price!
So remove any categories you don’t absolutely need—if the ceremony and reception are at the same location, for example, you might be able to save on transportation costs. This way you will have the costs covered & you can relax & enjoy YOUR DAY!!

On the subject of funerals……
Often after someone has lost a loved one, they, the living, have many vases of flowers in their home from friends. We offer an hourly in-home service to clean out the spent flowers & regroup them to freshen up the vases. We can also add roses, lilies or other favorite flowers to the existing flowers. This helps the client to enjoy the flowers longer & have more time to transition through the grieving process. We tread carefully in the home & can make light conversation with the grieving while there to make them more comfortable.
